Jane E. Levesque

Jane E. Levesque, 58 of Warwick, RI passed peacefully on the morning of Tuesday June 6th, 2023 in her home surrounded by those she loved. Jane had waged a protracted battle against Ovarian Cancer. She was born in No. Smithfield, RI and was the daughter of Robert M. Levesque and Marie Pauline Levesque (Bourre). She was predeceased by her Father Robert M. Levesque and older Sister, Christine Croto. Jane was the Common Law wife and life partner of William R. White III and the mother of their 2 children, Jeffery M. Levesque and Stephanie M. White. She leaves behind 2 grandchildren, Evelyn V. Slowinski and Jackson M. Slowinski. Jane is survived by her siblings: Sisters, Merana & David Cadorette, of Vero Beach FL. Francis & Jim Dion of Bridgewater, MA. And her brothers Arthur & Vanessa Levesque, of Lakewood, OH. Matthew Levesque, of No. Kingstown, RI. David J. Levesque, of N. Smithfield, RI. As well as one niece, Danielle & Dev Acehan of Buffalo, NY. And 7 nephews, including Phillipe Cadorette and Kalvin Croto. Jane was a graduate of Rhode Island College. Graduating Suma Cum Laude with a B.S. in Mathematics. Her professional career was spent as a Programmer, most recently for Connect-Pay. She was a brilliant, honest, hard-working, accomplished, courageous and talented woman, but that is only part of the story. As a Mother, Spouse, Life Partner and Friend she was exceptionally loving, caring, empathetic, adventurous, humorous, sometimes mischievous and always intensely loyal. Her beauty was not only skin deep. Jane’s smile, kindness and spirit lifted the hearts of all she met. Services will be held at St. John’s Church in N. Smithfield @ 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday June 14th, 2023. Address: 63 Church Ln, Slatersville, RI. The Interment will be in the Cemetery adjacent to the Church in the family plot. A Repass/Reception will be held at the Little Rhody Boat Club in Warwick, RI after the Services. Eulogy Jane was a Loving Mother, Daughter, Sister & Aunt. She was an Outstanding Friend and Dedicated employee. She gave her all to everyone and did it with Honesty, Integrity, Good Humor and a Smile. I remember the day I first met MY JANE, I remember every detail as if it was yesterday. We had corresponded briefly before we met, and although I was intrigued by our correspondence, I was wholly unprepared for our first meeting. We met at the Olive Garden in Attleboro. Enjoyed a far-ranging conversation covering backgrounds, education, likes, kids and dreams. We were several hours at the table and another hour plus in her car. I was struck that evening by her stunning beauty, captivated by her smile, her quick wit, humor and quicker mind. I would later come to understand that Jane was Brilliant. I could tell she was a Strong Woman and I got a glimpse into her caring nature… The most striking features for me were her eyes and her smile. Quite frankly if I did not fall in love with JANE that night, I did soon afterwards. It did not take long for me to realize Jane had other unique qualities. Qualities that when combined with those I discovered on our first date made her an exceptional Woman and Human Being. She possessed a natural empathy, which along with a nurturing, loving nature and genuine caring for others set her apart. These were matched with Spirit and a love of Adventure we both shared. Finally, to my joy I discovered Jane possessed the same traits I did. The inability to sit idle while someone else was working. The innate need to share the burden and in so doing make it lighter. And a thirst for knowledge and new experiences. Discovering those qualities sealed the deal for me. What always amazed me, is that Jane never saw these traits and qualities for what they were True INNER BEAUTY. These are the gifts that made her shine. Jane had the ability to lift a person’s spirit with a smile and a kind caring thoughtful word. Something she was completely unaware of. That smile could and did melt my heart whenever it was directed at me. I could deny her nothing. All She Had to Do Was SMILE. In Jane I found what I had always hoped I would find, but had come to believe I would never have. My equal in all things. A Partner for Life. We went through a learning period all couples have to go through, but through it all, we were committed to each other. We had many adventures, some good, some not so good, some frightening, some exhilarating, but we always had each other and learned to rely on one another. We learned to Trust each other, to value the strengths each had and listen to the counsel of the other. In short order we began working together as a team. Life got better and better. Jane and I both entered our relationship with scars. We were both keenly aware of them and we both tried to find ways to help our partner heal. We discussed everything; I never made a decision without JANE. We did not always agree, sometimes we had to revisit topics multiple times, but we found compromise. We shared everything and eventually through Trust, and Love, Commitment & Respect, Jane healed my heart, and somehow, I healed hers. From the beginning I was incredibly humbled and honored to have her by my side. I thanked God daily that Jane was in my life. Neither of us missed an opportunity to express our Love. Sometime after we became engaged, I started asking Jane if she was still my girl. She would answer “Yes, I am your Girl”, or “Always” or “Who else could I belong to”. That continued throughout our time together. We shared a commitment to each other in all things economic, emotional and psychological. We developed short- and long-term goals and worked toward achieving them in unison. If we hit road blocks, we found a way around. Through it all we supported each other and respected one another’s needs & wishes. Together we grew. I know Jane made me a better person. We worried about each other and we guarded our Partners most precious identity. Our one True Heart. Jane and I have 2 wonderful caring children. Jeffrey & Stephanie. We loved each other’s children and thought of them as our own. We worried about them and shared our fears. We have always been proud of them, but never more proud, than now. We were together for almost 21 years. Engaged for 20 years and lived in Warwick for 19. We rebuilt and built a home in a wonderful neighborhood where we met more incredible people in one square mile than we could ever imaging we would have the privilege of knowing. We were humbled when people offered to help with our projects or readily came to lend a hand when asked. When Jane got sick the Love and Caring we experienced from our friends and neighbors literally crushed our emotions. We had a steel resolve to fight the Cancer that was attacking MY JANE. We dedicate all of our resource and energy to extending her life and finding a cure. Jane, MY JANE was very Brave, she fought so hard. We did very well at keeping the Cancer at bay, but she never got a break and while we won many battles, we lost in the end. What neither she or I were prepared for was the outpouring of Emotional Support and Love from the Friends and Neighbors we had come love over the years. She wanted to thank you all, from Family to Neighbors to Work friends, and Friends, to Doctors and Nurses who truly cared. I can tell you that every one of you had a very special place in Janes heart, and in mine, because we share the same heart. Jane was my Partner in all things, I Trusted her with Everything I had and Everything I was. She was the Woman I dreamed of. The Strong Woman with whom I shared everything. The Woman whose Empathy healed me, whose Love made my life easy and who walked through Life with me. Beside me as an Equal. This is our story. Our very personal Love Story of A life built on Love, Respect, Trust and Commitment. As Jane says goodbye to us and we say goodbye to her. We want to Thank you so much for sharing this life with us.
