Anthony John Volatile

Antonio John Volatile, 82, of Coventry, Rhode Island, passed away suddenly on February 12, 2026. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Anthony was the beloved son of the late John and Angelina Volatile. A lifelong Rhode Island resident, he built a life centered on faith, family, hard work, and service to others. Anthony was a man of many talents and unwavering dedication. A master carpenter by trade, he took great pride in his craftsmanship and the many homes and projects shaped by his skilled hands. In addition to his carpentry work, he owned and operated his catering business, Finest Catering, where he brought people together through his love of food and hospitality. He also honorably served his country in the Army Reserves. Deeply committed to his community, Anthony served for many years as a Little League coach, mentoring and encouraging young athletes both on and off the field. He was an active member of his church ministries, contributing his time to video media, nursing home outreach, and mission work in El Salvador. His generosity of spirit and willingness to serve left a lasting impact on many lives. Anthony enjoyed fishing, camping, and entertaining friends and family. He was an avid sports fan who especially loved baseball, boxing, and mixed martial arts. He will perhaps be remembered most for his excellent sense of humor and quick wit. Anthony had a remarkable gift for making people laugh, bringing joy and lightness to every room he entered. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Barbara; his sister, Marguerite Rallis; his children, Dina Tousignant and her husband Michael, Anthony Jr. and his wife Kristine, and John and his wife Leah; his nine grandchildren, Nathan, Victoria, Luc, Austin, Caroline, Noah, Lorenzo, the late Isabella, Anthony, and Logan; and his six great-grandchildren, Nolan, Noelle, Maisy, Sunday, Norrie, and Johnny. Anthony’s legacy of love, laughter, faith, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Febraury 21st from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00 AM in Faith Chapel, 43 Scituate Avenue, Cranston, RI. A Celebration of Life reception immediatley after the Memorial Service will be taking place also at Faith Chapel. Burial at 1:00 PM in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown, RI.
