Thomas R. Zuercher, 64, a retired union electrician of the I.B.E.W. Local #99 passed away peacefully February 13th at the Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the kind and loving husband of Jill (Jawczak) Zuercher. Born August 24 1957 in Providence to John E. Zuercher and Marguerite (Ryan) Zuercher. Tom was a lifelong resident of Warwick. Tom was a dedicated dad and volunteer coach at Warwick National Little League throughout the 1990’s. He enjoyed molding character and instilling love and respect for the game. Tom was a loyal and conscientious employee working all over the state from Brown University dorms to changing the lights atop the Jamestown Bridge. Tom met many like minded friends in the auction, antique collecting and yard selling community. He traveled far and wide, some pieces of which ended up in museums, others shipped as far away as Uzbekistan. He totally enjoyed the thrill of the hunt. Tom was an avid golfer and enjoyed skiing. He was a boating enthusiast spending summers on Narragansett Bay with family and friends. Tom was the salt of the earth and was always in service to others. He will be sorely missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.
