Bate, Marion C., 87, of Coventry RI passed away on Sept 22, 2014. She was the wife of the late Raymond Bate. Born in West Warwick she was a daughter of the late Curtis R. and Ruth M. ( Danielson ) Potter. Mrs. Bate was a homemaker in her own home and had resided on Johnson Blvd in Coventry for many years. She leaves 4 sons Thomas Bate of Dallas, TX, Dale Bate of West Greenwich, RI, Dean Bate of Coventry, RI and Dana Bate of West Greenwich. 1 daughter Sue Searle of West Greenwich, RI, 12 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. She was sister of the late Harold Potter, Mildred Gendron and Lenore Eccleston. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Sept. 27th at 10am in the Winfield & Sons Funeral Home, 571 West Greenville Road, North Scituate followed by burial in Historic Brayton Cemetery in Warwick.
