Edith Burnett was born in Chicago, IL in 1928. She lived and worked in New York City then moved to RI in the early 1990's. She was an auditor for the IRS and after retirement in RI became the "Most Dedicated Volunteer" at the Providence Chapter of the March of Dimes, winning awards and honors several times. She also volunteered at the Odyssey Healthcare of RI Hospice for many years. She was adopted and died without family, but will be remembered by her close friends, Paula, Anne Marie and Joye. She was predeceased by Harold, whom she loved very deeply. Her big heart, big smile, energy and wit will be missed.
