Patricia Monti Fiore

Patricia Monti Fiore, born July 2, 1943, to Pasquale and Ida Monti, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025. One of five children, she grew up alongside siblings Maria, Stanley, Carolyn, and Frank in Cranston, Rhode Island. At Cranston High School East, Patricia met her future husband, Thomas V. Fiore, and together they welcomed their only child, Thomas W. Fiore, the heart of her world. Patricia’s career was a testament to her intelligence and determination. Starting as a bookkeeper for a Rhode Island manufacturing company, she rose to Vice President of Finance, earning accolades and respect. Her first yearly bonus check was a source of immense pride—she used it to buy her father, Pasquale, his first new car. A hardworking man who never spent on himself, Pasquale’s joy in that gift brought Patricia unparalleled happiness, reflecting her deep devotion to family. Strong, independent, and selfless, Patricia always put loved ones first. When her parents sold their home, she welcomed them into her Marlborough Street house to keep them close. As a mother, she was extraordinary, considering her son Thomas’s birth her greatest achievement. Her boundless love and guidance shaped him into the man he is today, and he remains forever grateful. Patricia’s nurturing extended to animals; her home was never without pets, each one a cherished companion. Upon retirement, she adopted sister cats Fluffy and Tuffy from the Cranston Animal Shelter, insisting they stay together. She delighted in feeding the squirrels and always kept her bird feeders full. Patricia had a sweet tooth; she loved her Russell Stover chocolates and Oreos. She never let Thomas forget to replenish her stash, a playful ritual that brought smiles to both. In her later years, as she faced dementia, Patricia found joy in doing her crossword puzzles and watching TV. Even as her condition progressed, her spirit endured—her face lit up at every visit from Thomas. On November 11, 2023, with a one-day city permit, Patricia proudly officiated the marriage of Thomas and his beloved wife, Nicole, in an intimate ceremony of three. Beaming with joy, she embraced Nicole, whom she adored, as family. Patricia’s compassionate, vibrant soul touched countless lives. She leaves a legacy of love, generosity, and strength, dearly missed by all, especially Thomas, who says, “I love you, Mama.”
