Mary Jane Cappelli

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mary Jane Cappelli of Narragansett, a devoted mother, grandmother, family member, and friend. Mary Jane passed away peacefully at South County Hospital, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, memories, and people whose lives were forever changed by knowing her. Mary Jane was born in Gloucester, MA and moved to Narragansett, RI in her late teens, during to her father being a very talented swordfish harpooner where she lived and raised her children. Mary Jane had a warmth about her that made people feel at home. She was caring, generous, and deeply devoted to her family. She found joy in the simple moments—gathering with the people she loved, sharing stories and laughter, and making sure those around her knew they were cared for. Mary Jane was deeply loved not only by her family, but also by the community she called home. She had a special connection to Narragansett, Rhode Island, a place she loved and was proud to be a part of. She cherished the people, the community, and the memories she made there throughout her life. Mary Jane also found great joy and pride in her work at The Towers, where she spent many years surrounded by people and a community she cared deeply about. Her time there was an important part of her life, and the friendships and connections she made through her work remained meaningful to her. To her family, Mary Jane was so much more than a grandmother. She was a source of comfort, strength, wisdom, and unconditional love. The memories made with her will be treasured for generations to come. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable emptiness, Mary Jane’s love will continue to live on through her family and all those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her kindness, laughter, and beautiful spirit will never be forgotten. Mary Jane was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald Cappelli. As well as Roger Boucher, the father of her 3 children. She leaves behind her children, Lisa (Michael) Healey, Gerald (Elaina) Boucher, and Jacqueline (Henk) Morelisse; her cherished grandchildren, Kelsey Novoa, Micah Olson, Femke Decesare, and Alexa Boucher; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Nora, Emmett, Kaia, Anneke, Nadia, and Eloise. She will be missed beyond words and loved beyond measure. Rest peacefully, Mary Jane. Your love will remain with us forever.
