Jeffrey Paul Jacquart

Jeffrey Paul Jacquart, 82, of Barrington, RI, passed away on February 1, 2024. He was born on March 8, 1941, in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Herman and Grace Jacquart. Jeffrey, known to his loved ones as Jeff, Bepper, Dad, Grampa and Crappa, was a loving and loyal husband to Charlotte Newton, his high school sweetheart whom he married in 1960. Together they enjoyed a life full of wonderful memories and created a solid, close knit family. Jeff lived in Pittsburgh, PA until the age of 16 when his family relocated to Barrington, RI. The anticipated arrival of Jeff and his brother Dutch made headline news in Barrington, as both boys were natural athletes and the football team needed some help at the time. Jeff graduated from Barrington High School in 1958, then earned a BS in Sales and Marketing from the University of RI in 1964. Throughout his career, Jeff showcased his outgoing nature as a salesman. He was such a character! His first job with the Sunbeam Corporation led to several moves around the country before returning to Rhode Island in 1987. His magnetic personality made him dear friends everywhere he went. Jeff was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed a variety of activities, including running, body surfing, cross-country skiing, and showing their many Basset Hounds. He loved reading historical non-fiction and had an artistic side. He could create a sketch of just about anything, always adding the most clever and creative details. Family gatherings were a highlight for Jeff. His sense of humor and wit were unmatched, as he was a master of puns. He was known for his honesty, except when it came to Scrabble, where he occasionally slipped in some questionable words. He had a wealth of knowledge on most subjects and gave the best advice to those in need. Jeff is survived by his wife Charlotte and their children: Michelle Skrobish, Jennifer Allen, Laura Millhollin (Mark), and Jeffrey C Jacquart; his grandchildren James Rowlett, Raechel Jacquart, Daniel Allen (Christina), David Allen, Lucas Skrobish, Michael Jacquart, Nicholas Millhollin (Lauren), and Amy Millhollin; his great grandchildren Oliver Murphy, Alba Allen, and Ava Allen; his sister Denise "Denny" Arnette (Peter); his sister-in-law, Patricia Jacquart; his son-in-law, Richard Skrobish; and his nieces and nephews, Kathy, Karen, David, Karl and Sean. Besides his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his brother, Herman "Dutch" Jacquart; his in-laws, Charles and Lois Newton; his sister-in-law and her husband, Phyllis “Penny” and Daniel Scully Jr,; and his nephew, Daniel Scully III. In honor of Jeff's life, a gathering to celebrate his memory will be held in the future. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His love, loyalty, determination, humor and sparkling blue eyes will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
