Sharon Patricia Grace Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On May 13, 1952, a third daughter Sharon Patricia (Morin) Grace was born to Norman and Bella (Drolet) Morin. In the natural order of this world, Both Norman and Bella pre-deceased Sharon and welcomed her to her new home on July 24, 2022. She was also widowed when her husband Richard F. Grace passed in 2010. Sharon is survived by two sisters, Joanne Taji Reynolds of Dillwyn, Virginia and Linda Morin of N. Kingstown, R.I. She was loved by two nieces Jodi Moore of Maine and Tracie Malone of R.I. as well as two nephews Jeffery Sheffer of Virginia and William Reynolds of R.I. After graduating from Tolman High School Sharon worked as a receptionist for the Rhode Island Red Cross. She loved the work, but transportation became a problem as her vision continued to fail. The family soon realized Sharon would be their “free spirit”. After becoming legally blind in her late twenties Sharon traveled cross country by bus and to New York for the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Her love of animals was a constant in her life. She loved every creature from a gerbil to a horse. Her favorite times at the Linn Health Care Center where she lived for the past six years was the visits from “Solomon” the therapy poodle. Sharon was a ceaseless crocheter. She made hundreds of baby blankets for the newborns at Women and Infants Hospital and lap robes for Veterans. She loved audio books, her Soap Operas, and the “Voice”. Her favorite day was always Tuesday when “Garetti” gave her a “Bubble Bath” and her Birthday when she always asked for stuffed peppers. The Staff of Linn Health Care were selfless in the attention they gave Sharon. The people who were her care givers were so much more than nurses, nursing assistants, and cleaning people. They were Sharon’s second family. The Family would also like to thank “Hope Health” for the wonderful Hospice care they provided to Sharon. Sharon will be put to rest with her parents in a private service at Notre Dame Cemetery in Pawtucket, R.I.
