Robert A. Barton, 57, of Warwick, RI passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Alfred and Lois (McDonough) Barton. He was the beloved brother of Richard M. Barton, Nancilee A. Lipke, and Eileen P. Bailey and most importantly he was the Greatest Uncle to Sherri N. Gordon, Eric P. Gordon, Ariel K. Barton, Kasi L. Bailey, Danielle A. Lipke, Nicole A. Barton, and William J. Bailey. He was the best great-uncle in the world to Landon Smith, Logan J. King and Ryann E. King whom he considered his grandchildren.When thinking of Bob, words like CARING, HELPING, and FAMILY are the first words to come to mind. Bob took everyone under his wing”nothing meant more to him than being able to help someone in need, and his family meant EVERYTHING to him. Bob was an avid sports fan, playing several in his youth and continuing as a die-hard fan of the Boston (and Providence) Bruins, Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and the New York Giants. Bob was a history buff, especially military history and their aircraft, and he absolutely loved riding in his white pickup truck when he was able! However, his most passionate pastime would be spending time with his nieces and nephews. Soccer, softball games, football, hockey, and even dance classes and school plays nothing the kids did was insignificant to Bob, he was there for them all! We hope that Bob's final journey is paved with all the love, peace, and respect that he deserves!
