Donna Dee Maresco, 74 years young, of Wakefield, RI, passed away on June 21, 2022. She is the daughter to the late William Dame and Hazel Mae Dame, and sister to the late Gideon Waterman, Ellen D. Wahlberg, Patricia B. Cooke, and Melissa Halley, mother to the late James W. Maresco and grandmother to the late Brandon L. Verrocchio. Donna leaves behind her loving husband James F. Maresco, her daughters Amy D. Verrocchio, Jamie E. Scurry, and Kristi L. Maresco and her husband Gregory Crawford, her grandchildren Celia J. Scurry, Zachary J. Verrocchio, and Elijah M. Scurry, her siblings Nancy Fitzgerald and Timothy Dame along with extended family and friends. Donna was a woman of many talents and interests. She spent countless hours tending her gardens, sewing and traveling with her friends at the Canonchet Quilters and weaving baskets at Stony Lane Baskets. Her home is filled with her beautiful creations and the numerous awards she received over the years of her hard work, dedication, and mastery. Her abilities never ceased to amaze her family and friends. In spite of her many accomplishments, if you asked Donna to name her greatest joy, she would tell you it came in the time she spent with her grandchildren. Her love and devotion for her grandchildren was fierce, unconditional and unwavering. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Donna and the life she lived on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at The Towers in Narragansett. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the South County Museum
